This is an opportunity to join a diverse group of companies with the Head Office for core departments based in Sheffield. They are family owned and always on the lookout for growth and expansion opportunities!

Due to expansion, they have a great opportunity for a Credit Controller/Sales Ledger Clerk to join their group of companies at their Head Office in Sheffield. They are looking for someone ambitious who will add value to the team. There is also an opportunity to develop in the team.

Main Duties involved would be:

Responsibilities
- Manage the Sales Ledger, including reconciling accounts and minimising overdue debt.
- Chase overdue accounts by telephone and e-mail, including monitoring Accounts on Stop.
- Ensure timely and accurate posting and allocation of receipts.
- Liaise with colleagues in departments, ensuring customer queries are resolved promptly.
- Process debit and credit card transactions.
- Setting and reviewing credit limits
- Monitoring customer risk and payment behaviour.
- Ensure to follow the credit policy and follow the collection cycle

Key Skills/Experience required:
- Previous experience of working within a credit control position is essential
- Knowledge of Sage 200 is preferred however is not necessary
- Knowledge of Credit Hound preferred but not essential
- A good level of computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
- The ability to work alone or as part of a team where needed
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure whilst adhering to tight deadlines
- Good Customer Service focus and excellent telephone manner

You should have the ability to work at a fast pace with high attention to detail ensuring concise and reliable decisions are made.

Your willingness and flexibility to adapt with the business should be evident, with discretion, tact and judgement shown throughout the role.

Salary: 18-20k based on experience

Fantastic location just off the M1 Motorway for anyone based in Rotherham, Sheffield or Barnsley. Free parking is provided, the successful candidate would preferably have their own transport.
