Corporate Actions Administrator - Liverpool
Our Client are one of the UK's leading investment managers, a FTSE 250 company. Providers of personalised investment management and wealth management services for private investors and trustees. This includes discretionary investment management, unit trusts, tax planning, trust and company management, pension advice and banking services.
Our client have a new opportunity for a Corporate Actions Administrator at their Liverpool office. The role includes distribution, collation and processing of corporate event activity carried out by the Corporate Actions department.
Responsible for the distribution corporate event information (electronically of the paper form) to Investment Managers on day of receipt or by agreement with Line Managers
Collating instructions from Investment Managers to enable delivery of documents/notifications/electronic instructions to thirds parties for effect before deadline dates
Keeping accurate, up to date records and files, e.g. RID Corporate Events system and UTL Database with documents attached and stock event files used for scanning/historical purposes
Reconciling new cash and/or securities received providing supporting documentation to enable event sign-off and for historical reference purposes
Processing events on Illumas in a timely manner
Ensuring all event last action dates are kept up to date
Ensuring any stock/cash reconciliation queries are answered within the timeframe set by Line Managers
Checking and signing-off team members fax/Crest/custodian instructions and completed work
Monitor all unit trust holdings to identify which can be converted to lower AMC share classes and convert the positions both internally and externally
Adhering to regulatory and TCF requirements
Where applicable, ensuring appropriate action is taken to segregate firm and client money in accordance with CASS rules
Any other individual tasks agreed with Line Managers
Providing management information and Risk Assessments when required
Providing Line Managers with up-to-date, clear and concise event information before any period of planned absence
To carry out processes and procedures within the business area ensuring these meet with CASS, GDPR & MiFID regulations highlighting any issues or concerns to line management as appropriate.
Responsible for the monitoring & processing of the teams Allocated but Unclaimed policy
Essential Skills & Requirements:
Experience working in a similar role in Financial Services would be of interest but is not essential
GCSE in English and Maths grade C or above (or equivalent)
Strong working knowledge of MS Office
Methodical with a good attention to detail
Strong written and verbal skills
Understanding of the regulatory environment in which we operate
