Salary: £40k D.O.E

The Company

One of the UK’s largest independent Chartered Insurance Brokers, seeking an experienced Account Handler to join our growing Corporate Team. Our client provides insurance broking services and advice to clients throughout the UK, ranging from individual homeowners to major corporations.
The head office is located in Leicester City Centre and we have offices in Luton, London and Edinburgh. Much of the company’s success is due to its culture of promoting from within the business and it has an enviable staff retention record.

The Role

Joining a highly qualified and experienced team of Account Executives you will be working closely with the Senior Management Team to achieve and deliver the company’s strategic objectives.
You will be supported by a team of experienced Account Handlers to assist towards achieving your own personal budget : which includes a combination of growth on existing clients and winning new business.
You will provide Account Handling and Broking services to some of our most prestigious existing corporate accounts and responsibilities will include renewal negotiations, report writing, dealing with queries and mid-term adjustments, occasional client meetings and involvement in claims where necessary.
You will work with the Account Executives and take instruction from clients and liaise with insurers enabling you to use your excellent negotiation skills.
You will be working to a team of Account Executives, Handlers and insurance partners so you will have the opportunity to use your excellent team working skills.
You will be known for your attention to detail and work with a methodical approach and be comfortable working to deadlines.
You will possess excellent customer service and communication skills and demonstrate the natural ability required to understand your client’s individual needs.
Candidates will need to demonstrate a willingness to continue to work towards the recognized CII qualifications.

Essential Requirements

Experienced Account Handler
Experience with corporate accounts
CII qualified or progressing towards
Excellent Communication Skills
