Compliance Officer (Fixed Term Contract) - Government Status Technology Provider

Our managed services teams are based from our offices in St Ives and our data centre facilities in Huntingdon and Northampton and provide a focused range of hosted and cloud services through our extensive portfolio, specifically designed to help customers align their IT functions to their core business requirements.
We are now recruiting for a Compliance Officer to join our Managed Services office based in St Ives on a 9 – 12 month fixed term contract to assist the Compliance team with tasks related to our Compliance certifications and accreditations.
Compliance Officer Key Responsibilities
+ Work closely with the Compliance Team to help retain and continually improve our ISO27001, ISO9001 and ISO20000 certifications and ensure compliance in all aspects
+ Assist in the preparation of ISO27001, ISO9001 and ISO2000 audits
+ Help to continually enhance the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information
+ Understand and help maintain our information security, quality and service management policies, procedures and standards across the organisation
+ Assist in risk analysis, treatment and corrective action
+ Provide timely and proactive response to enquiries to the Compliance Team inbox
+ Assist in supplier management, which will include contract negotiation and the review of compliance questionnaires
+ Assist with customer requests for information, including audits, in relation to our compliance status
+ Proof read documentation for accuracy
+ Assist with the new starter, change of role and leaver processes to ensure that access to information assets are issued / revoked accordingly and that our policies, procedures and standards are understood by all users
+ Help to provide regular compliance awareness training to employees
+ Help to approve change requests in relation to storage allocation requests
+ Maintain our on call rotas
+ Escalate actual and potential quality, security and service management incidents to the Compliance Team Leader
+ Other ad-hoc compliance tasks as required
Compliance Officer Required Skills and Experience:
+ Previous experience of working in a similar compliance role is highly desirable
+ Good understanding of information security and quality would be an advantage
+ Experience of assisting with audits would be an advantage
+ Excellent administrative skills
+ Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders through a variety of different mediums
+ Excellent interpersonal skills - the ability to maintain and build relationships cross-functionally
+ Excellent organisational, prioritisation and time management skills
+ Accuracy and attention to detail, thorough and methodical in their approach
+ Proficient in MS packages including Word, Excel and Outlook
+ Ability to multitask and work calmly under pressure
+ Proactive in approach with a flexible attitude
+ Team player – understands the importance of collaborative working
Full training will be given, however it is essential that the successful candidate is proactive, has a passion for quality and accuracy and will be open to expand their knowledge on a continual basis in the field of Information Security through online research, available study guides and webinars.
Location: St Ives, Cambridgeshire.
Hours / Status: Permanent. Full Time (40 hours per week), 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday with 30 minute lunch break (1 hour on Friday)
Salary: Competitive and based on experience.
