Compliance Manager

Based in the centre of Lancashire

Salary up to £35k per annum + benefits

Overview of the Role

An exciting Compliance Manager role is now available for a market leading business who is "Covid-proof" working in a sector that is excelling in the current market and will continue to do so.

You will work with internal and external customers, supplier and audit bodies providing joined up communication between all parties.

Implementing a proactive approach to all business critical legislative and compliances and maintaining accreditation for the customers quality, health and safety, ISO this is an integral role within the business.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Business compliance to current H&S, ISO & BRC standards.
  • Full ownership of the audit process for the business
  • Full ownership of Health & Safety (training can be provided) including environmental legislative compliance.
  • Leading in-house training with managers and employee's about health & safety issues and risks
  • Product compliance and legislation
  • Vendor compliance to ensure assessments are carried out for each key supplier, identify and quantify areas of risk and implement actions to resolve.
  • Review annually all management system procedures for which you are the process owner, documenting the review and any changes made.
  • Carry out quarterly trend analysis of complaints raised to identify weaknesses before they become ingrained.

Key Skills / Experience:

  • Critical problem-solving ability. You'll often have to make decisions on the information available, which is not always in black and white.
  • Experience of internal, 3rd party audits and customer audits (essential)
  • An ability to analyse and interpret information quickly.
  • Worked in an environment where Health and Safety is a high priority.

Standard Requirements:

  • Proven audit facing experience and understanding of standards; ISO9001, ISO45001 & BRC storage and distribution including up and coming Brexit business regulations.
  • NEBOSH qualifications (or working towards it)
  • Internal audit qualification.
  • Systems, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, CRM and Sage 200c
  • Excellent organization and time management skills and meticulous attention to detail.
