Clerk Job Bretton Parish Council
A position for a full time Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer has arisen at Bretton Parish Council. The role is 37 hours per week with a salary starting point in accordance with NJC spinal column point 29 - £32,029 (may be negotiable dependent on qualifications and experience).
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual. Experience in dealing with a variety of people with different needs is essential. The candidate must possess good skills in diplomacy and organisation. Must be able to prioritise deadlines, work alone and within a team. Good IT skills are a requirement, the ideal candidate will have experience using accounting packages such as Scribe.
The role is situated at Bretton Parish Council offices in Bretton. The role will require a candidate that will be responsible for dealing with finances, administration and the management of the Parish Council on a day to day basis. Management experience is required as there is a team of employees that will need assistance and direction daily.
Ideally, the candidate will be a qualified Clerk or be prepared to study the relevant CiLCA qualification. The candidate will also be required to have a good knowledge of local Government procedures, finance and law. Flexibility will be necessary as there will be some evening work involved. Knowledge of the local area would be advantageous but not a necessary requirement.
