Reference: TSLMC0244 Vacancy: Business Administration Apprentice Location: Eastbourne Salary: £15,000 per annum Hours: Full time, 08:30-17:30 Monday-Friday (one hour for lunch). 08:30-13:00 every third Saturday during term-time (this equates to nine Saturdays throughout the year). 09:00-16:00 Monday-Friday during school holidays (one hour for lunch). The hours may increase during busy times.
The Company: Our client is an inclusive boarding school based in Eastbourne in which each child is valued for what he or she can offer. They are a proper 'prep' school; they prepare children for life at senior school and actively promote choice at 13 so that each child can enter the senior school that is best for them. There is currently an excellent opportunity for a Business Administration Apprentice to join the team on a full time basis.
Key Roles & Responsibilities of the Business Administration Apprentice:
• Providing efficient secretarial services to the Deputy Heads • Providing administrative support for the Director of the Cultural Curriculum • Answering the telephone and manning the reception desk when the Admin Assistant is absent/otherwise engaged, dealing with queries and ensuring parental enquiries are followed through • Assisting with any administrative duties concerning the School Office e.g. taking in parcels, answering the door, making drinks for visitors etc. • Any other office tasks as directed by the Headmaster's PA
Essential Criteria of the Business Administration Apprentice:
• Minimum of grade C/4 in English and Maths • The ability to communicate orally and in writing • A good telephone manner • A willingness to work in a child-friendly environment • A clear understanding of the need for confidentiality • A sense of humour • An ability to work cooperatively within the office team • Good ICT skills, including a basic understanding of Microsoft Outlook and Office
