They are experiencing an exciting time of growth and development and they require a Part-Time Bookkeeper (approx 12 hours per week) to join their friendly team. You will be highly motivated and organised with a strong attention to detail. Through effective and accurate financial administration, you will make a key contribution to the smooth day-to-day running of the Finance Department.

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills as you will be required to liaise with their clients and other stakeholders.

You will work 12 hours per week flexibly between their Brighton office and your home; therefore you will need to be in easy commuting distance of Falmer, Brighton.

Key areas of responsibilities will include:
- Managing day-to-day accounting cycle, including maintaining both sales and purchase ledgers
- Performing key reconciliations such as bank reconciliations
- Raising invoices and paying suppliers
- Preparing monthly payroll
- Balance sheet requisitions
- Credit control
- General bookkeeping

Essential key attributes and competencies:
- Strong working knowledge of Excel
- Excellent working knowledge of Xero accounting software
- The ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads
- A problem-solving approach to work
- Ideally you will also have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Professional experience and education (ideal candidate will possess):
- At least three year's previous experience in a similar role. AAT Level 3 or 4 (or qualified by experience).
