JOB TITLE: Bookkeeper

THE COMPANY: Our client is a well-established firm of Rural Surveyors based in Kelso who provide a wide range of Property Management services to private clients throughout the Borders, North of England and the Lothians. Due to expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bookkeeper to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.
THE ROLE: As a Bookkeeper, you will take on book keeping responsibilities within our client's firm.
Key Responsibilities for the Bookkeeper role:-
• Day to day book-keeping • Maintaining up to date financial records • Allocating payments
THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for the Bookkeeper will be highly organised with the ability to work under your own initiative. You will be a driven individual who is capable of demonstrating strong written and verbal skills. You will be organised and have a positive approach to your work and have a good manner with customers. You will need to live within a commutable distance to Kelso.
Key skills and experience for the Bookkeeper role:-
• A full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle will be required • A good working knowledge and understanding of farm book keeping processes • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office • Experience of Sage & Quickbooks would be advantageous
