This company is an events venue bringing together ice skating, bowling and great food with an onsite MEATliquor restaurant. Located at London’s only ice rink, built in 1931, this iconic building has been recently rebuilt and transformed, and was voted by GQ as one of the coolest activity bars in London for 2017.

This is an entry level job paying £22,000 - £24,000 depending on experience.

How can you expect to spend your day?

You will join the business as a Head Receptionist and be in a team responsible for the general running of the venue, providing excellent customer service, support to other staff members and contribute to the development of the organisational and operational side of the business. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate unsure what direction to take their career but looking to work in a fun and friendly environment, working for a highly ambitious and successful hospitality company, so particularly suited to those interested in a career in events or hospitality.

Tasks you will be responsible for include:

• You will familiarise yourself with local authority and licensing requirements to ensure you’re aware of health and safety regulations.

• Part of this job involves managing some staff members working in the venue and to be involved with recruiting, training and helping motivate new staff members to operate at company standards.

• Regularly report, both informally and formally, any practices or procedures that require action to ensure they comply with regulation.

• Help implement practices and processes in accordance with relevant operation manuals and legal requirements.

• Provide excellent customer service to venue visitors.

• Manage incoming bookings and customer support, answering any queries, troubleshooting and trying to ensure all customers have a great experience by ensuring all information is communicated in a clear and concise manner.

• Control the general ambience in the reception area such as the audio and visual impact.

• Ensure quick, efficient and accurate customer transactions.

• Assist with ad hoc administration tasks and procedures such as helping open or close the venue in low peak times.

• Work with the management team to implement a branded staff uniform.

• Comfortable using MS Office and familiar with its different programmes.
