Book Keeper (part-time) – Competitive Salary DOE – Halstead, Essex

The Role

Durnbury Limited require a part-time (2-3 days a week) Book Keeper to assist with our book keeping at the company. Reporting to senior accountants and managers, you will be record keeping in various formats and systems for a variety of client businesses. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to take on a fresh challenge and develop their career.

The key responsibilities of a Book Keeper include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating and posting of sales and purchase invoices, and advice notes
  • Performing bank reconciliation duties, and banking using online banking
  • Entering debit and credit reports
  • Filing company expenses
  • Company accreditations
  • Adhering to health and safety policies

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Book Keeper:

  • Must have 5 A-C GCSE’s (including Maths and English)
  • Good working knowledge of SAGE Accounting and Microsoft Office, and is confident using a computer
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, being able to work to deadlines
  • An excellent communicator, able to converse and build relationships with people on all levels of the business as well as clients and third parties
  • A can-do attitude and good work ethic, able to work off own initiative as well as part of a team
