My clients are looking to recruit an ACCA qualified accountant for this role.
The role would be a 50/50 split between audit and accounts work.
This is a Full time permanent position.
Time management, organisational and communication skills are key to this role as you will be undertaking multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with Sage and Microsoft Office programs will be essential. Experience with Quickbooks, Xero, Digita and Caseware will be welcome too.
Duties in this role will include completing audit field work with supervision responsibilities for assisting junior members of our team. You will also be responsible for a portfolio of clients, handling the preparation of management accounts and statutory year end accounts.
Obviously the successful candidate will be willing to travel to client premises on occasion and although this will mostly be local to our offices you will need a car and drivers licence.
The focus of the position will a split of audit and accounts work. (50/50)
The management and delivery of audit assignments including the planning of assignments, carrying out risk assessments and analytical reviews and then working to plan to complete the assignments.
Preparing year end accounts, management accounts and VAT returns for a portfolio of clients.
Fielding ad-hoc questions from clients and team members deciding when you can and should either respond personally to those questions or redirect them appropriately.
Overseeing, supporting and reviewing the work of junior audit/accounts team mebers.
You will be the first point of contact for a portfolio of clients.
You will be completing private company audits to partner review stage.
Managing competing workflow demands within deadlines and budgets.
Completing accounts to FRS 102, FRS 102 section 1a and FRS 105 standard.
Minimum of 3 years practice experience.
Experience of preparing and auditing consolidated accounts.
Strong interpersonal skills

Own car and drivers licence essential
Experience of MS Office programs essential as is experience of Sage, Xero, Digita and Quickbooks.
