ACA/ACCA qualified or QBE

Experience of OBM/SME private company audits: planning, budget preparation, identifying key risks, developing an audit plan, executing the audit on site.

Their services include accounting, auditing, tax, financial planning, payroll and business consultancy.

My client's expertise is geared to working with owner-managed businesses, small to medium sized companies, business start-ups and UK subsidiaries of overseas groups.

There are a number of ways they are able to help their customers, they offer specialist services, such as financial outsourcing which can provide valuable support in the day-to-day running of your business. Customers can also capitalise on planning opportunities with the specialist in house tax team.

Whatever the needs of our customers, they will always receive an excellent level of service.

My client has a team of 35 people, including 6 partners, is enthusiastic and highly experienced.

The Role:

My clients are looking to recruit a qualified or qualified by experience Audit and Accounts Senior to work within their audit department, to assist the partners and managers in delivery of statutory audit and accounts preparation services, and to manage and allocate work to audit trainees. The split being approximately audit 50% and accounts 50%.

They are a well-established firm specialising within the owner managed business area across the UK.

In return the Audit and Accounts Senior role is offering a competitive salary with good career progression within the firm.

Your Responsibilities:

The Audit and Accounts Senior duties will be :

Planning and delivery of audit/accounts assignments.

Plan assignments in conjunction with the client partner or manager.

Lead some of our largest and most complex assignments.

Supervise junior staff during the audit and review their work.

Deliver the audit file to the assignment manager or partner in a timely manner.

Manage all client communication in an effective manner.

Coach other staff for improved performance and technical development.

Knowledge of and experience of current auditing standards and approaches: analytical review, documenting systems and controls, sampling techniques.

Monitor your chargeability and your assignment budgets pro-actively.

Requirements:

ACA/ACCA qualified or QBE

Strong interpersonal skills

Excellent verbal and written skills

IFRS knowledge would be useful but not essential.

Experience of preparing budgets and monitoring actual time against budget.

Experience of preparing and auditing consolidated accounts.

Strong interpersonal skills
