Description
A new and exciting opportunity has a risen working within a Specialist Investment and Private Wealth Management company for an Assistant Fund Manager to join their small, but very successful Edinburgh team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking for a long-term career within a highly reputable firm. The role would suit a recent graduate or a graduate with 2/3 years experience within a similar role (however this is not essential) to assist with the following duties and responsibilities: Assist with managing clients portfolios Assist with recommendations within each asset class and after approval, action such changes in line with appropriate models and fund buy-lists Develop excellent client relationships by becoming an additional point of contact for Fund Directors and Fund Managers Carry out client take-on through to initiation of client funds Execute trades in client portfolios Monitor outstanding deals and, report errors where necessary Instruct dealers to complete transfers Minimum qualifications and skills for the success of the role: Degree qualified, or equivalent; Hold the Investment Advice Diploma (IAD) qualification, or equivalent Level 4 FSA approved qualification;* Willingness to study the CISI Masters in Wealth Management or equivalent FSA approved qualification. Controlled Function 30 Customer function Professional, organised and motivated; Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills; High level of numeracy; Intermediate level in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; A keen interest and a good basic understanding of the Fund Management industry; Able to demonstrate and evidence Continued Professional Development.
