 Business Development Manager, required for a business to business logistics, parcels and courier company.

 

We are seeking an experienced and energetic Business Development Manager to join our dynamic and expanding sales team to drive sustainable growth by forming new relationships with potential clients. The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by generating leads, negotiating with clients and qualifying prospects.  

Your role will primarily involve arranging and attending Field sales appointments with new prospects and with existing and lapsed customers in order to sell the services of the company.

You will be responsible for developing contacts and leads, field sales, business development and developing these relationships through to securing new business and closing the contract and sale.

Ongoing Account management, development and growth of existing customers.

 

 

Responsibilities

·         Conduct research to identify new potential accounts including cold calling

·         Arranging and attending meetings with new, potential clients to establish client’s needs and profile.

·         Supplying client proposals and quotations

·         Provide after sales support

·         Build long term relationships with new and existing clients

·         Looking for new opportunities for new business with the existing client base

·         Increase and manage sales CRM

Requirements

·         Proven sales track record

·         Previous Field Sales experience and business development experience is essential.

·         Be capable of clear, relevant and professional communication with fellow members of staff, customers and members of the public.

·         Experience in the transport industry is desirable but the “right” salesperson with good general “Field Sales” and “New Business Development” skills is more important.

·         Must have good communication and negotiation skills

·         Commercially aware with good closing skills.

·         Ability to build rapport

·         Time management and planning skills

·         IT literate

·         Self-motivated and driven

·         Full clean UK driving licence
