Our client is a Further Education College offering a wide range of courses to over 5000 full time students and over 5650 part time students each year. The college currently works with over 50 high school partners, welcoming students from Bury and the surrounding areas.
In addition to over 900 students progressing to university from the College, 200 students choose to study a Higher-Level course available at their University Centre each year.
They now have an opportunity available for a Student Information Apprentice to join them to support the work of the Student Information department and ensure that an outstanding service is provided to internal and external customers in an efficient and effective manner. This is a full time role, fixed term for 18 months.
Assisting with the provision of high quality administrative support to the area including routine office clerical duties, you must accurately and effectively input and update data records and efficiently process all relevant documentation for cross-College provision; maintaining appropriate records to meet claims.
You will also assist the Team with departmental duties and ensure that the processing and storage of all learner related data is compliant with relevant legislation and is fully secure at all times whilst undertaking training and professional development to maintain a high level of expertise within the role and demonstrating a customer focussed approach at all times.
Candidates for this role should have a good general standard of education including Maths and English at GCSE Grade D or above (or equivalent) coupled with a level 1 IT qualification (or a willingness to work towards this). Some previous work experience (ideally within a business administration or customer service capacity) is essential and experience of using IT and software packages including Word, Excel and Access, is desirable.
Our client does ask that applicants have good communication, organisation and interpersonal skills and are capable of dealing with a wide range of people including students, staff, parents and employers.
