The main purpose of the role is to ensure that all purchase orders and incoming calls are handled efficiently and urgently. This will involve prioritising workload, while making outbound calls, maintaining weekly checks (collections/returns) and ensuring that all enquiries are processed on the day of the enquiry.
This is a crucial role in our business as failure to handle purchase orders / sample orders / enquiries and general administration will result in lost orders and customer confidence.
The primary focus on the role is to collate cuttings order, quickly and accurately.
Place cuttings in envelopes and dispatch to customers.
Order fabric samples on the SAP system as needed.
Ensure that cuttings stocks are up to date, and new stock is ordered each week.
Share work with other team members if required.
Pull fabric samples quickly and accurately
Ensure that a back log does not occur, by ensuring that samples are sent on the day of request whenever possible.
Enter orders on SAP as required.
Any other tasks or reasonable requests made by the Customer Service Manager or Managing Director.
Provide cover when required.
Handling UPS / Courier deliveries; incoming & outgoing.
Sorting & Distributing incoming Post, and handling outgoing Post.
Scanning of Returnable Samples & AAM expenses sheets.
Ordering Price Lists / Brochures.
Providing the best service levels available to customers and the external sales team.
Occasional cover for the showroom (lunchtimes or during absenteeism).
Ensure that the Archives & Logistics area is organized and tidy at all times.
Provide monthly cutting processed report.
Provide monthly parcel re-direction report.
Provide Christina Wallis-Copley cover/assistance when needed to provide labels.
Process emails from Team-Mail via Lotus Notes


The person

We're looking for a confident individuals , who can also assist our customers in advising on fabrics, trimmings, wallpapers, carpets/rugs etc. for their schemes as well as with their purchase order/enquiries.
They must be confident & assertive and can communicate/interact with a real mix of people from leading interiors designers to retailers and independent upholster.
Someone who is a quick thinker, with EXCELLENT customer service skills, pro active and a great positive attitude.
The must be able to not only work well within a team, but also independently and possess a sense of humour.
Some who is numerate , and understands the importance of attention to detail.
Computer awareness is a necessity .. favourable knowledge of SAP, although training will be offered.
