Administration Manager (Temporary Maternity cover) – Global Leader

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an Administration Manager to join our fast-paced Transport & Warehouse administration team based in Milton Keynes. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead and manage a team of 4 administrators dealing with all administration, process and a query management supporting the nationwide distribution of food ingredients and industrial chemicals for the global leader in chemical distribution.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

The Administration Manager will ensure effective management of the administration functions to include:

+ The completion of all administrative duties within agreed time scales
+ The effective training and development of staff to fully realise their potential
+ To ensure that new personnel receive appropriate induction training.
+ To ensure invoices are processed within agreed timescales
+ To support and maintain a good relationship between departmental personnel.
+ Oversee Transport Planning – both own fleet and 3rd party haulage within agreed cost budgets
+ Ensure Goods In & Out processes and controls are maintained and adhered to at all times
+ To act as a point of escalation for internal and external customer and operationally impacting issues – taking full accountability through to full resolution

We Are Looking For:

The successful candidate will be highly organised, and able to demonstrate the following:

+ Excellent attention to detail
+ Ability to work to deadlines
+ Strong Interpersonal skills
+ Computer literacy – Able to work with Microsoft office and in house computer systems.
+ Capability to motivate others.
+ Experience working in a logistics, transport or distribution environment is essential
+ Working knowledge of SAP and associated processes would be advantageous
