POSITION: Administration Assistant

SALARY: £18,500 pa

BENEFITS: Company Pension, Staff discount, free car parking, 28 days paid holiday

HOURS: 9.00 am to 5.30 pm with 30 minutes paid lunch break

LOCATION: Biggleswade, Bedfordshire SG18 8NH


Established for over 25 years’, our clients are agents and distributors of luxury tableware and giftware brands from around the world.  The company have a team of 14 in Biggleswade and in London.  

The company supply clients such as Harrods, Selfridges, Mappin & Webb as well as some high net worth private clients and therefore provide a very high level of service.  The company’s goods are extremely valuable and they need to be assured of 100% loyalty and respect of their product values. 

Due to continued success the company is looking to recruit an Administration Assistant for the company’s headquarters in Biggleswade. This is a fantastic opportunity for bright and well-motivated candidates, the successful candidate will need to adhere to client confidentiality.

JOB ROLE (not limited to):

  • Liaise with the London office via telephone and Skype.
  • General office administration.
  • Data entry for order processing.
  • Customer Services - providing information for clients to be sent by email or by telephone.
  • Liaison with overseas manufacturers to process clients’ orders.
  • Handling website orders.
  • Preparation of customer proposals.
  • Booking appointments for the sales team by telephone and email.
  • Light warehousing duties: packing, shipping and labelling - needed during peak times and in a clean environment.


  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Be able to adhere to client confidentiality.
  • Be highly numerate.
  • Excellent IT skills, particular Microsoft Excel and Skype.
  • Social media knowledge, posting of updates via Twitter, Instagram etc.
  • SAGE knowledge ideal – but training/support can be given.
  • Good English skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent communication skills with a good confident telephone manner.
  • Be able to handle high value goods with care.
  • A team player, but able to work on own initiative.
  • Possess a ‘can-do’ attitude.
