Admin Assistant – £18,000 to £20,000 DOE – Hertfordshire, UK

The Role

WKH Developments Ltd are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Admin Assistant to join their office in Hertford, Hertfordshire. You will be responsible for the general administration of the office, ensuring its smooth running and organisation, and helping other members of the team when needed. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career with a dynamic and rapidly growing company.

The key responsibilities of an Admin Assistant include, but are not limited to:

  • Collecting invoices and adding into spreadsheets
  • Contacting new clients and creating job files
  • Answering the telephone
  • Liaising with project managers on buying materials
  • Keeping track of payments with client accounts
  • Monitoring the Directors’ diary
  • Performing ad hoc administrative duties across all teams

The Person

The key skills and qualities of an Admin Assistant:

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C or above
  • Experience working within an administrative role and within a customer focused environment
  • Well-presented, excellent telephone manner, and can communicate and operate at all levels
  • Strength of character with a flexible and confident approach
  • Proactive and highly organised with ability to multi-task
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook
