Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting a competent and personable Accounts Team Leader to join a well-established business based in Chesterfield where you will be responsible for a team of 4.

This role will be a challenging & varied position where you will be given responsibility and autonomy from day one. With the ability to manage an office & a small finance team, you will be pivotal in ensuring deadlines are met, workloads are delegated and will be able to prioritise your time effectively.

Some duties of the role include:

*Delivery accountability of payables, receivables and treasury function
*Ownership and management of Customer Direct Debit collections
*KPI, controls and reporting; design and delivery alongside manager
*Management of team, including annual appraisal, development reviews and objective setting with at least quarterly reviews and regular 1-2-1s.
*Deputising for all aspects in the absence of Manager; authorisations, and escalations to the Finance Manager
*Management of customer Direct Debit payments
*Manage supplier invoices and payment
*Manage bank account activity: timely reconciliation
*Timely and accurate postings of customer payments
*Expenses and credit card payments
*Customer refunds
*Cash flow forecasting
*Supplier liaison
*Timely and accurate processing of all receivables / payables and reporting KPIs
*Direct Debit adequacy
*General customer communication, cash collection enquires etc.
*Dispute management
*Pro-active customer contact management
*Stop gas management
*Inter-departmental liaison, solution delivery and issue management

Skills & attributes required:

*Numerate - data, compliance and KPI driven
*Strong communicator - Business / Team enabler and educator
*Experience in managing teams, developing individuals and managing performance
*A drive and passion for service delivery excellence for internal & external customers
*Highly analytical and focussed to ensure solutions are identified and implemented, and processes fit for purpose/growth and adhered to
*An ability to get things started yet able to ensure focus/discipline to see things through to conclusion and achieve results
*Strong process mindset - with an innovative yet practical approach and understanding of best practice in the order to cash and purchase to pay cycles
