Salary: £17,000pa - £24,000pa (DOE)

They were founded in Oxford and is today placed in the UKs top 100 accountancy and financial planning firms, with a large client base including individuals, trusts, businesses, charities and non profit organisations.

They can provide compliance, consultancy and advisory services for every stage of business or personal life. Clients find their approach professional and friendly and their fees competitive.

The Role

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

To prepare complete and accurate accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies in accordance with the service line systems and procedures and in line with time allocations set.

OTHER DUTIES:

· Ad hoc projects

· Protect and secure clients' data

· Reporting to Service Line Manager break downs in systems and procedures

· Be able to work with more junior staff supervising and training if necessary

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Qualifications

· Qualified AAT

· Part-qualified ACCA/ACA

Experience

· Accounts preparation experience, must have worked on limited company, sole trader and partnership accounts

· Be able to complete basic tax computations

· Be able to complete jobs to a high standard with minimum of supervision

· Be experienced in using an accounts production package, cloud based software's and excel. Personal attributes

· Able to build close working relationships with clients and proactively manage their expectations

· Ability to work closely with Service Line Manager and to carry out several tasks, with minimum supervision and to deadline

· Ability to manage own workload effectively

· Work as part of a team being able to listen, absorb and digest information and build stable relationships.

· Reliable, trustworthy and approachable

· Ability to create ideas to improve processes and services to clients and support new initiatives

· Develops broad industry knowledge and proactively develops technical knowledge · Uses industry knowledge to analyse and understand client information

· Up to date technical knowledge and broad understanding to provide added value to clients

· Plans ahead to deliver work to deadlines and communicates progress to managers · Demonstrates an organised and thorough approach to own work and improves efficiency

· Is capable of thinking critically to generate solutions for clients

· Communication is clear and persuasive, ability to disseminate complex information to clients in an easy to understand manner

· Reacts flexibly and professionally to change

· Must be able to travel
