Elevation Recruitment Group are currently looking for a hard working and highly organised Book Keeper/Accounts Assistant for a business based in the Sheffield area (s9).

This role is reporting to both the Payroll Manager & Management Accountant as you will be responsible for the calculation of payroll, based on employee attendance and time sheet records as well as supporting the Management Accountant with analysis and day to day finance duties.

Duties & Responsibilities will include:

*Detecting & communicating anomalies
*Processing internal jobs for Steel Department
*Stock Adjustments
*Collation of data on actual job performance
*Monthly Journal Entry
*Variance & Cost Centre Analysis
*Administration of Labour Bookings
*Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation
*Active contribution to Budget & Forecasting Process
*Maintenance of the Company's time and attendance and payroll systems
*Completion and maintenance of all relevant documents for payroll, accounting and audit purposes
*Preparation and checking of payroll input from authorised documentation
*Calculation and payment of statutory and other payments including sickness, maternity, paternity and adoption pay in line with legislation.
*Processing of advances and recoveries from pay
*Preparation of documentation for outside agencies e.g. HMRC
*Ensure correct application of pay and conditions of service for all staff in accordance with instructions received.
*Adherence to performance and quality standards as laid down in the relevant SLA's ensuring they are met in line with Company Standards.
*Preparation of pension documentation, SSP1, etc.
*Assist in system configuration
*Ad hoc duties as required by Payroll Manager & Management Accountant

Skills & Experience required in order to be considered:

- Experience in all areas of Payroll/Sales & Purchase Ledger & Credit Control
- Excellent Excel (including Looks Ups & Sum Ifs)
