Accounts Assistant Southampton Permanent Full time circa 22,000-24,000
We are recruiting for a full-time highly skilled accounts assistant/bookkeeper to join a small friendly team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and will suit an individual who is professional, experienced in payroll and bookkeeping and has experience of working within a varied accounts role.
Key responsibilities:
- To collate and submit subcontractor payments (timely data collection which is then presented in Excel spreadsheet format before online submission) on both weekly and monthly basis
- To collate data as above and process Sage L50 payroll (monthly)
- To process HMRC CIS internet submissions, verifications and related documents
- To process client subcontract questionnaires and maintain accreditation databases
- To process Sage L50 purchase ledger and payments
- Reception duties
- General office duties
Key skills:
- High attention to detail using Excel spreadsheets a priority
- Sage L50 payroll and accounts
- Numerate
- Experienced working within a small busy team
- Good education
- Professional telephone manner
- Conscientious
- Extremely organised
- Can work on own initiative, pro-active and able to multi-task
- Experience of the construction industry an advantage
- Must live within a commutable distance to the office
- Pro rata 28 days holiday (including bank holidays)
- Free parking
- Company pension scheme
