Accounts and Sales Support Assistant – Competitive Salary + Benefits – Nailsworth, Gloucestershire

The Role

We are looking for a motivated and capable Accounts and Sales Support Assistant to join our team. This role sits at the heart of our business, ensuring our customers’ needs are met through accurate B2B and B2C sales invoicing, and preparation for picking/packing and courier collection. The role also involves assisting with customer enquiries, posting receipts and broader book-keeping and customer support activities. The key responsibilities of an Accounts and Sales Support Assistant include, but are not limited to:

  • Raising B2C and B2B invoices, preparing same for order picking and courier collections
  • Taking payments, posting to customer accounts, and reconciling to bank accounts
  • Following customers up on incomplete orders, and orders awaiting payment pre-despatch
  • Handling general customer enquiries such as lost/damaged parcels, order errors etc.
  • Taking responsibility for end-of-day processing, such as posting completed orders to sales ledger, updating PayPal and Website records
  • Filing of all accounts paperwork
  • Assisting at a couple of external weekend shows per year
  • Assisting with a broad range of book-keeping and sales support activities as demand requires

Established in 1994, Calinnova Ltd is a family-owned business with over 25 years’ experience in avian, equine and animal supplement formulation and manufacturing. Our staff have a real passion for animal health care and wellbeing, and we pride ourselves on customer satisfaction and the results our products achieve.

We manufacture and sell our in-house designed products promoting animal welfare predominantly in the UK. Additionally, it has established sales to a number of overseas markets within Europe, North America and South-East Asia.

The Person

The key skills and qualities of an Accounts and Sales Support Assistant:

  • An experienced Sales Ledger Clerk; Sage and Microsoft Office experience advantageous
  • Accuracy and a detail minded approach, with a head for figures and spreadsheets
  • Good telephone manner and communication skills
  • Strong organisation and time management skills, able to multitask and prioritise tasks
  • Happy to work as part of a team and assist in broader book-keeping and sales support activity as required

In-house training will be provided on our internal systems, procedures and products. Candidates will need to live within commuting distance of Nailsworth.
