Accounts Administrator

Salary: Excellent salary on offer

Benefits: 28 days holiday inc bank holidays (20 + 8)

Hours: Part Time

Location: PO3 6FH

Our client, an electrical contractor established in the late 1980’s is seeking an Accounts administrator to join their friendly team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that has continued to expand slowly over the past decade and recently moved into larger premises. The company has a strong long lasting working relationship with various local authorities and local businesses.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Processing Purchase ledger orders, invoices & payments
  • Purchase ledger reconciliations (supplier statements) and resolving account queries
  • Processing sales invoices and receipts
  • Credit control & resolving sales ledger queries
  • Bank statement & Credit Card statement reconciliation
  • Accounts Department copying, filing, archiving
  • Various ad hoc duties as and when required

The Successful Candidate

Successful applicant will be joining a busy friendly company in Portsmouth.

The successful applicant must be computer literate and have a good understanding of all accounting procedures and must be experienced in using Sage Line 50.  Some knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel spreadsheets would be advantageous. The applicant will also need some Administration experience to help cover staff holidays and sickness.

Key Skills:

Sage Line 50

Knowledge of Microsoft Office/Excel

PC Skills

Professional Phone Manner

Must be able to communicate with customers/suppliers to ensure successful credit control in bought ledger and sales ledger.
