Elevation Recruitment are currently working with a key client based in Doncaster. We are looking to recruit an Assistant Buyer to join a very busy Procurement team and Head Office.

The successful candidate MUST have experience using SAP.

Key Accountabilities:
*Provide flexible cover for the Purchasing team to for holiday and/or sickness periods
*Monitor and progress purchase requisitions daily / Request and/or follow-up supplier quotation; including but not limited to price and delivery lead times.
*Convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders in SAP and issue to suppliers in a timely manner.
*Ensure purchase orders contain clearly defined scope of requirements; including acceptance standards where appropriate, international standard, purchasing standard, drawing no.s etc.
*Input supplier order acknowledgements in SAP, against the relevant purchase order.
*Ensure that any variations / delays in delivery dates are reported to the site Purchasing Managers, Buyers; or regional Category Managers.
*Proactively manage supplier delivery schedules to ensure there are no manufacturing delays, due to late deliveries of purchased components and/or services.
*Track purchase orders to ensure supplier on time delivery in full is achieved / expedite supplier deliveries and help resolve any delivery problems where required.
*Handle any changes in purchase order requirements due to amendments in internal manufacturing schedules and/or internal customer needs.
*Execute the procurement sourcing agreements and spot orders according to the supply management guidelines and processes.
*Investigate and resolve any invoice queries due to pricing anomalies in SAP.
*Daily check of sales orders to ensure the correct purchase components are ordered and deliveries are scheduled to meet relevant manufacturing / customer due dates.
*Act as the SAP Super User for Purchasing colleagues and internal customers.
*Be the first line of support where individuals require help to undertake SAP transactional activities, or require help identifying the source of a problem, or understanding integration points.
*Where required, provide SAP training to individuals on a one to one basis or in larger groups.
*Complete any administrative tasks that are required to support the wider procurement/business community.
*Support Head of Procurement and/or Category Managers with requests for new supplier set-up and liaise with Central teams for inclusion on Approved Supplier List and in SAP
