An executive assistant is the right hand of the executive or corporate professional. It is a vital role within the organization, working closely with an executive, offering your support and providing administrative help. In these roles you need to be very well organized, efficienty, calm and able to handle pressurised situations. Your tasks will, in most cases, be delegated by the executive who serves as your superior. Tasks will often revolve around clerical work, such as reading and screening incoming correspondence, drafting and proofing letters, and handling other basic administrative jobs. As the assistant you may also be charged with managing the executive’s schedule, keeping track of meeting times, and making travel arrangements when necessary.
