Today business is more global than ever and people with language skills have become prized assets within most companies. Bilingual workers cover a wide spectrum of roles including sales, finance, IT and telecoms, marketing and PR, and secretarial. If you are bilingual then there are plenty of options out there and if you can specialise in any of the aforementioned roles then you are even more employable. Another very common bilingual job is a translator. Translators are required to convert written material from one or more ‘source languages’ into the ‘target language’, while ensuring that the translated version conveys the meaning of the original as clearly as possible.
